The Richardson 112, explained

Ask anyone who's worked a merch table: the Richardson 112 is the trucker. It's the cap you see on ranchers and baristas alike, and there's a reason it became the default — it fits almost everyone, instantly, without looking borrowed.

We tested eleven blanks over four months. Some had softer foam, some fancier fabrics, some cost twice as much. The 112 kept winning on the things you feel at hour six: the pre-curved visor that shades without tunneling your vision, the mesh that actually breathes on a climb, the snapback that doesn't bite your hair.

The front panel is the other reason. Structured foam holds embroidery flat and crisp for years — no puckering, no sag. When your whole brand is one gold line, the canvas has to be perfect.

We add antique-brass hardware, a tighter stitch count than stock, and the figure — drawn fresh for each collection — across the front. That's it. Good bones, one line.
